Intervals.icu integration
Intervals.icu is the first data connection used by an Échapper product. Training Companion connects your own account to Claude, ChatGPT or another compatible AI client. Intervals.icu remains the source of your training data; Échapper requests relevant records when you ask a question.
Awaiting approval
Public OAuth connections will open to everyone as soon as Intervals.icu approves the application. Échapper will be free to use, with no application or access gate.
What the connection is for
Your AI can use recent activities, recovery, athlete settings, your existing calendar and the goals you have approved. It can then answer in context—for example, explain fatigue, compare recent sessions or suggest what fits tomorrow. ChatGPT developer mode can use the full-access endpoint for explicitly approved changes. Write-capable clients can propose changes, but cannot bypass Échapper’s approval controls.
Consent before connection
Training and wellness records can reveal health-related information. Before Échapper starts the Intervals.icu connection, you must explicitly consent to processing the data you choose to connect for Training Companion. Disconnecting withdraws that consent for future access and removes the stored credential and pending approvals.
Permissions, in plain language
Échapper asks for the permissions that support the complete product. Activities read, wellness read, calendar write and settings read are required. Activities write and wellness write are optional; the related tools remain unavailable if you do not grant them.
How changes are controlled
- Your AI asks Échapper to prepare a specific action.
- Échapper returns a preview with the exact target and proposed content.
- You review that preview and explicitly approve it.
- Échapper accepts only the unchanged, short-lived approved request.
Destructive actions require an additional confirmation. The optional read-only endpoints exclude create, update, delete, comment and profile-saving tools. Existing read-only connections are not upgraded automatically.
Storage and deletion
The OAuth token is encrypted on the server and bound to your Échapper user ID. Live activity and wellness responses are not copied into Échapper’s product database for Training Companion. If you separately enable the owner-only Recon preview, it can temporarily process a route file and retain derived, direction-specific aggregate road evidence under the separate controls described in the Privacy Policy. Disconnecting removes the stored token and pending approvals, so no further source access is possible. You can also revoke the app in Intervals.icu app settings, and you can delete your Échapper account from Settings.
Data sources and Garmin attribution
Results name Intervals.icu as their connected source. If Intervals.icu identifies Garmin as an activity source, Échapper returns “Garmin” or “Garmin [device model]” with that activity and instructs the AI client to preserve the attribution in answers, analysis and exports materially influenced by the data.
Intervals.icu does not always expose the originating device for wellness records. Wellness and readiness results therefore state that they may include data from Garmin devices, and that attribution must remain with derived output.

Échapper is an independent product. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Intervals.icu, Anthropic, OpenAI or Garmin. Use of the Intervals.icu API is subject to the Intervals.icu API Terms and Conditions.
